With the fourth Gold Swan Film Festival kicking off at Pingyao Cinema in Hangzhou's Yuhang district on Nov 20, several mini video halls that are shaped like clay bottles next to the host site also made their public debut.

The "clay bottles" won the interest of many visitors, as they can enjoy an immersive film in or explore China's film history by glancing at diversified film-related products, such as magazines, posters, novels, and books, in them.

The Gold Swan Film Festival, which will be running for eight days, is an annual event that aims to arouse the enthusiasm of young film producers. This year's edition has attracted the participation of 1,129 films and short video works created by young filmmakers from 251 universities across the country. They will compete for 62 individual awards.

Many experts in the film and television industry, as well as in academic circles will take part in cultural talks with young filmmakers, such as Jonathan Whittaker, chair of VR and chair of Short-term Programs at New York Film Academy, and Wang Kewen, an expert judge of the China Journalism Award and the Changjiang Taofen Award.

An additional 32 free film screenings, as well as 27 film and television lectures, scriptwriter training sessions, and recitation gatherings will also be held.
