The 17th China International Cartoon & Animation Festival will be held at the White Horse Lake Animation Plaza, Binjiang district, Hangzhou, from Sept 29 to Oct 4.

The previous edition in 2020 was composed of 45 activities and attracted over 739,200 audiences from 65 countries and regions.

There were 2,680 Chinese and foreign enterprises and 5,886 exhibitors and professionals who signed contracts or cooperation intentions for 1,543 projects worth 250 million yuan ($40 million).

In 2020, Hangzhou's cartoon, animation, and gaming industries generated an output of 25.89 billion yuan, up 30.63 percent year-on-year.
