Panasonic becomes official supplier of Asian Games Hangzhou 2022

Japanese electronics giant Panasonic was named as the exclusive supplier of household appliances of the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games on June 10.
Panasonic has been committed to supporting global sports events including the Olympics for over 30 years. The group will offer home appliances and life solutions to participants of the 19th Asian Games.
Mao Genhong, deputy secretary-general of the Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee, said he hopes Panasonic will help Hangzhou to host the games in a green, smart, and economical way.
Tetsuro Homma, representative director of Panasonic, said the company will integrate its traditional strength in home appliances and enhance the fresh food supply chain for the Asian Games.

According to Homma, participating in sports events like the Asian Games is in line with Panasonic's vision. For over 100 years since its founding in 1918, the company has engaged in a wide range of businesses guided by its brand slogan "A Better Life, A Better World".
He said during the news conference that Panasonic had set foot in Hangzhou 41 years ago and now hires about 5,200 employees in the city. In October 2019, Panasonic opened its third global experience center, which is located near the West Lake in the city.
