With the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China drawing near, various parts of Hangzhou society are celebrating the occasion in their own ways.

A group of primary school students in Lin'an district raise their red scarves in celebration of the International Children's Day and the anniversary of the CPC's founding on May 27. The scarf's color honors the sacrifices made by the founding fathers of the People's Republic of China and its triangular shape represents a corner of the national flag.
