The Hangzhou Public Transport Group announced on May 16 that it will open three bus terminals with a total of 460 parking lots from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm every day in the near future to address the lack of parking lots for local residents.

The three bus terminals are Zhijiang Bus Terminal (150 parking lots) at No 183 Zhijiang Road, Xihu district, Jiuhe Road Bus Terminal (150 lots) at No 400 Jiuhe Road, Jianggan district, and Sandun Bus Terminal (160 lots) at No 3 Jinpeng Street, Sandun town, Xihu district.

The group also announced that services including car washing, charging, tyre repair and car maintenance will be offered soon.

Shuttle buses will also be made available during holidays and festivals to connect popular scenic spots and downtown Hangzhou. This move is meant to encourage more people to take public transport, which would relieve traffic congestion during peak hours.
