A new cruise ship was put into operation to transport passengers between Chun'an county in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province and Shexian county in Huangshan, Anhui province, local media outlets reported on May 11.
The new ship is 35.2 meters long and can seat 120 passengers. It is an exemplary choice for people interested in sightseeing on Qiandao Lake and along the upper reaches of the Qiantang River.

Qiandao Lake in Chun'an county has more than a thousand islands. Local residents and tourists used to have to take ships and boats as the only way to approach the beautiful scenic area.
However, with the rapid development of transportation facilities, most of the interprovincial cruise lines were canceled and the Chun'an-Shexian line is the only one still in operation.
The line covers a distance of 66 kilometers and has 17 stops. A one-way trip will take about 4.5 hours and cost 73 yuan ($11.36) or 85 yuan depending on the cabin that is chosen.
