China has been famous for its silk since ancient times, and the most famous type of Chinese silk is Ling Luo Chou Duan (Chinese: 綾羅綢緞). Luo, also known as leno, originated in Hangzhou.

Today, only the Fuxing Silk Factory still hand makes Hangzhou leno using traditional techniques, and people working there are the only living inheritors of the craft.

Starting June 17, a brand new bilingual program entitled Hangzhou Eye will offer the world new insight into Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province.
