Hangzhou has a lot more than just scenic spots – it is also home to several century-old shops and Chinese time-honored brands.

The city is known for its old pharmacies, as it was once the capital of the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279) and boasts a flourishing traditional Chinese medicine industry.

Most of the pharmacies are located on Hefang Street and the Royal Street of the Southern Song Dynasty, where the aroma of herbs still lingers in the air.

Starting June 17, a brand new bilingual program entitled Hangzhou Eye will offer the world new insight into Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province.
