Hangzhou introduced 55 model voluntary service stations on Dec 3 with the aim of better serving international guests, athletes and tourists during the 19th Asian Games in 2022, local media reported.
The stations are located around important transportation hubs, scenic spots, museums, medical institutions, and commercial areas in Hangzhou, offering healthcare, emergency relief, and city guide services to the public.
Hangzhou has also been actively encouraging the public to engage in voluntary services during the 2022 Asian Games through activities such as training sessions at residential communities and higher learning institutions.
The recruitment of volunteers for the 2022 Asian Games is expected to begin in May 2021.
