Kazakhstani Atameken Business Channel starts airing the documentary on Oct 9. [Video provided to ehangzhou.gov.cn]

The Russian version of Ni Hao Kazakhstan, or Salem Kazakhstan, a TV documentary series jointly filmed by China and its neighbor Kazakhstan, started airing on the Kazakhstani Atameken Business Channel on Oct 9, local media reported.

The 12-episode series, co-produced by Atameken Business Channel and China Xinhua News Network, is expected to finish broadcasting by the end of this year.

With Danil Moskalenko acting as documentary host as well as project leader of the Kazakhstan production unit, the show visited Chinese cities such as Hangzhou, Xi'an, Chengdu, Lianyungang and Guangzhou, presenting viewers with vivid stories that shine a light on China-Kazakhstan economic cooperation.

The documentary aims to explore emerging business opportunities in both countries in e-commerce, information technology, and cross-border logistics, highlighting the alignment of the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative and Kazakhstan's Bright Path new economic policy.

Moskalenko said the shooting schedule has been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but efforts on both sides have ensured the success of the series.

"China's robust infrastructure and economic development model have stunned me. I think my country should learn more from China's experiences," Moskalenko said.

Kanat Sahariyanov, general director of Atameken Business channel, said China is an important partner of Kazakhstan and the two countries have established close ties in many aspects.

"I hope the documentary will lead to more opportunities for Kazakhstani audiences," Sahariyanov said.
