World Tourism Museum to open in Xiaoshan

The World Tourism Museum in Xiaoshan district, Hangzhou is collecting valuable exhibits from around the world and will open to the public in 2021, local media reported on Sept 16.
The museum is being built by the World Tourism Alliance (WTA), which will cooperate with the Palace Museum to develop products and hold exhibitions in the tourism museum.
Headquartered in Hangzhou, the WTA is a China-initiated non-governmental and non-profit organization formed by 89 founding members in 2017.
The WTA's World Tourism Museum started construction in March 2019.
The museum will be composed of a permanent underground interactive exhibition area, tourism culture and art exhibition hall, outdoor exhibition courtyard, WTA international art garden, international tourism sculpture park and a cruise ship hall.

The museum welcomes donations from collectors of any nationality, aiming to create a diverse inventory featuring items from every corner of the globe.
The museum accepts donations including but not limited to arts and crafts, costumes, books, badges, models, videos, and audio.
