Hangzhou announces 10 achievements from past year

Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, announced its top 10 achievements in epidemic control, promoting culture, and creating a pleasant environment for residents over the past year at a conference on life quality on Aug 8.
The 10 achievements are as follows:
Efforts in epidemic control and economic recovery
1. Grassroots-level governance has played a key role in combating the epidemic. During the outbreak, 1,400 villages and communities in Hangzhou were mobilized to get involved in the nationwide fight against the COVID-19.
2. Digital technology has been utilized in Hangzhou to combat the epidemic more effectively. The city developed a health code system that was later promoted nationwide. It also introduced the Qingqing Online platform to provide a direct link between the government and enterprises, and held online job fairs to recruit skilled workers throughout the epidemic.
3. Hangzhou medics made great contributions to the fight against the epidemic. After the outbreak of COVID-19, many medics in Hangzhou were sent to Hubei province to support local anti-epidemic efforts, and some medics also went to Italy to offer assistance.
4. Hangzhou is currently working to restore its economy and production. Hangzhou was the first city in China to launch the I-level emergency response when COVID-19 erupted, and it is also the first Chinese city to develop a health code system, making significant contributions to epidemic control efforts.
