Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, will initiate a three-month campaign to stimulate consumption in its cultural and tourism market starting from July 27.
The city will hold 56 themed activities and customers will receive a discount when buying tickets to artistic performances and cultural exhibitions, as well as when checking in to designated homestays.
Hangzhou will also launch 10 special routes to scenic areas and hotels in an effort to attract more tourists.
Digital technology will be used to provide "no-contact" services, enabling visitors to check in to scenic areas more efficiently amid the epidemic.

During the campaign, a slew of artistic performances, concerts, and dramatic performances will be held. Many festivals, such as the long-anticipated 16th International Animation and Cartoon Festival, will also be held during the campaign.
Activities such as a shopping fair and a food festival will be held at night to increase nighttime economic activity, and more nighttime travel routes will be launched during this period.
In addition, the Hangzhou government has encouraged its museums, libraries, and memorial halls to extend their evening hours in order to attract more visitors.
