Social workers in Hangzhou will have new identification as a blue-and-green logo designed with smooth lines and dynamic figures made its debut July 28.
A joint effort by the Hangzhou Civil Affairs Bureau and Social Workers Association, the logo is expected to bring out the professionalism of local social workers and carry forward the spirit of mutual assistance.
Hangzhou is planning to build 50 social work and 100 community work stations in 2020, providing more working space for local social workers.
There are 14,716 social workers in Hangzhou who have obtained specific certificates, and 524 of those are working in Shangcheng district. In recent years, the district has continued to improve its talent training system and saw its social work services become available in all local residential communities.
"We will continue to enhance our professionalism and maintain the vitality of resources, and aim to infuse new momentum into grassroots community governance," said Mao Suyun, deputy chief of Shangcheng district.
