The Hangzhou Future Sci-Tech City signed 10 artificial intelligence (AI) projects at a ceremony on July 26.

As China ushered in an era of rapid AI development, the Hangzhou Future Sci-Tech City pioneered a comprehensive development plan.

In 2017, the China AI Town in the Hangzhou Future Sci-Tech City was unveiled to the public, marking a start for Hangzhou in boosting development of AI. With the founding of many high-tech platforms in the city such as the Alibaba Damo Academy, Zhejiang Lab and the Lake Laboratory, the city is now becoming a gathering ground for AI projects and skilled workers.

The Hangzhou Future Sci-Tech City has made strong efforts to appeal to quality AI projects and investors by holding many online matchmaking sessions since the beginning of this year.

On July 25, the Global AI Technology Conference was held in the Future Sci-Tech City, bringing together many top AI experts and scholars from across the globe to the city.

Officials from the management committee of the city said at the conference that AI is a significant driving force behind the industrial reforms, and the city will spare no effort to promote the development and commercial application of AI projects and attract skilled workers for the city's companies.
