The second Automobile Film Festival was held at the Lingshan Fairyland in Xihu district, Hangzhou on June 7, inviting visitors to watch movies while sitting in or on top of cars.
Watching movies from cars has become popular as the epidemic outbreak greatly impacted the tourism market. The Lingshan Fairyland held the festival to promote this new form of travel.
A total of 70 cars are available at the fairyland, each serving as a miniature cinema.
"Residents can select a vehicle in advance by making reservations online," said Ding Liming, assistant to the general manager of the Lingshan Fairyland.
According to the notice released by the scenic spot, the film-watching activity will be held every day starting June 7.
Visitors will be able to watch a classic film on a 50-square-meter screen between 7:30 pm and 9 pm every day during the festival.
Many residents were fascinated by the novel idea of watching films from cars, and therefore decided to attend the festival.
