Liangzhu Culture Creativity Co was founded in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province on May 28 to celebrate the 1-year anniversary of the inclusion of the Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

The company is a joint venture between Zhejiang Provincial Culture Industry Investment Group and the State-owned Beautiful Island Co. It is meant to protect and promote Liangzhu culture and encourage cultural creativity.

The company will work with the Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City park and museum to develop and invest in projects that may lead to valuable IP.

That same day, the Liangzhu Ancient City Ruins Park was certified as an educational center for primary and middle schools in Zhejiang while a textbook featuring scientific discoveries related to the Liangzhu ruins was published by the Zhejiang Education Publishing House and will be sold by the Zhejiang branch of the Xinhua Bookstore.

"We are embracing an eminent opportunity with the increasing influence of Liangzhu culture. A complete cultural industrial chain will emerge soon," according to a spokesperson for Zhejiang Provincial Culture Industry Investment Group.

The Liangzhu ruins, located in Zhejiang province, have gained worldwide recognition, as they serve as a testament to China's 5,000 years of civilization. They were inducted into the UNESCO World Heritage List in July 2019.
