Hangzhou-Fuyang railway expected to start operating by end of this year

Track-laying for the Hangzhou-Fuyang railway began on April 8. Officials have said that the railway is expected to start operating by the end of this year.
Zhu Lihua, an official at Hangzhou Subway Group, said that the start of track laying marks a milestone in the construction of the railway and signifies that Hangzhou residents will not have to wait long for the train to be completed.
The new railway will better connect Fuyang with Hangzhou's urban area, and according to Hangzhou Subway Group, it is part of subway line 6 and has a total length of 23.5 kilometers. It is capable of supporting speeds of up to 100 kilometers per hour.
