The government of Tonglu county in Hangzhou held a breakfast meeting on the morning of March 31, bringing together a number of local entrepreneurs to discuss how to grow foreign trade amid international epidemic tensions.

The meeting was attended by Fang Yi, Party secretary of Tonglu, Weng Yan, deputy head of Tonglu, and delegates from local foreign trade companies.

The local government has drafted seven policies to support foreign trade companies, and the meeting was held to listen to the needs of companies and make the policies more targeted.

During the meeting, foreign trade delegates reported on the challenges they were facing, shared how they worked to stabilize orders and gave advice on foreign trade policies.

Fang stressed that companies, associations, government and banks should strengthen cooperation and confront challenges together.

He also urged relevant government departments to formulate favorable policies to help address the problems facing companies, including labor shortages and problems receiving orders and fulfilling contracts.

Since the epidemic began, banks in Tonglu have offered various favorable financial policies to aid local companies in resuming operations and alleviate their financial burdens.
