The Hangzhou Museum and West Lake Museum will reopen their doors to visitors on March 17, according to a news release posted on the official WeChat account of the Hangzhou West Lake scenic area on March 16.

Other indoor areas will remain closed, and it remains undecided when exactly other museums will reopen.

The two museums will take measures to limit the amount of visitors in order to decrease risk of infection. The number of visitors will not surpass half the average daily maximum capacity, and visitors will be required to enter the museums at intervals.

The two museums will make use of internet and big data technologies to help with the management.

Visitors need to make a reservation before they visit. Online reservations opened at 6 pm on March 16.

All visitors must show their ID cards and health codes, wear masks and have their temperature taken before entering.

People who hold red or yellow codes must go through a further heath check at the provincial quarantine site.

Visitors can scan the following QR codes to subscribe to the WeChat accounts of the Hangzhou Museum and West Lake Museum to make reservations. The left is the WeChat account for the Hangzhou Museum while the right is the WeChat account for the West Lake Museum.
