Hangzhou ranks No 2 in consumption environment

Hangzhou ranked No 2 among 100 surveyed Chinese cities in terms of its comprehensive consumption environment index, according to results recently released by the China Consumer Association.
On March 15, Hangzhou held a meeting to discuss 2020 plans for boosting the city's consumption environment and mark the International Day for Protecting Consumers' Rights.
According to the plans, in 2020, Hangzhou will build 42,000 "rest assured" stores, 500 "rest assured" online stores, 47 "rest assured" agricultural markets, 500 "rest assured" restaurants, and 3,000 "rest assured" factories in order to provide Hangzhou customers with reliable products and services.
Hangzhou will also launch a three-year campaign to improve its consumption environment as part of efforts to mark the upcoming 2020 Hangzhou Asian Games and promote the internationalization of the city.
