Xixi National Wetland Park reopens to visitors

Xixi National Wetland Park, a 5A-level scenic spot in Hangzhou, reopened to visitors on Feb 24 after a lengthy closure, according to an announcement made at the 27th Hangzhou conference on prevention and control of the coronavirus pneumonia held on Feb 24.
According to a briefing at the conference, as of Feb 24, 67 out of 103 A-rated scenic spots in Hangzhou had reopened their doors, accounting for 65 percent of the total number of A-rated scenic areas in the city.
Officials said that as of Feb 23, 155 travel agencies and 86 star-rated restaurants had summited their applications for resuming operations.
Visitors who wish to visit Xixi National Wetland Park must have their temperatures and health codes checked before entering.
Only those with green codes are allowed to enter, while those with yellow or red codes will be turned away.
Tourists are advised to make an appointment in advance and are discouraged from using cash to pay the admission fee.

The national wetland park, renowned as one of China’s top 10 wetlands, is located five kilometers away from West Lake, the other 5A-level scenic area in Hangzhou.
Xixi wetland park, covering an area of 11.5 square kilometers, has become a must-see destination for visitors to Hangzhou. Throughout the year, a number of festivals, such as the plum blossom festival and dragon boat festival, are held in the park.
