Discussion on modernizing national governance held in Hangzhou

A number of experts gathered in Hangzhou to discuss how to modernize national governance at a seminar on Nov 24.
The seminar, sponsored by the Jiangsu Provincial Federation of Philosophy and Social Sciences and hosted by the Jiangsu Political Science Association and the School of Public Administration at Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics, brought together more than 200 scholars and researchers from universities such as Fudan University, Nanjing University, Northeastern University, and Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics.
Experts discussed theoretical and practical issues related to modernizing and improving the capabilities of the national governance system.
Scholars agreed that the application of modern science and technology in national governance should be accelerated and that the government needs to make more use of technologies such as the internet, big data, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence in policymaking and public supervision.
