The final of the 8th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (internet category) took place in Future Sci-Tech City in Hangzhou on Nov 20.
The event brought together more than 300 finalists from 248 companies to demonstrate their latest internet technology projects.
The China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Education, and the Cyberspace Administration, with the support of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce.
The contest has six categories: biomedicine, electronic information, advanced manufacturing, new materials, internet, new energy, and energy conservation.
According to the organizing committee, 7,747 internet firms signed up for the event, with 248 of them making it into the final.
The three-day final featured robotics, AI programming education for teenagers, VR technology, 5G-powered cold storage servers, a full-automatic charging system for autonomous vehicles, among others.
Li Xiaoqiang, general manager of the China Internet Investment Fund, Zhu Hong, chief technology officer of DingTalk, Ruan Liang, vice-president of Netease, and Xu Jiajia, general manager of Zhejiang iFlytech Co, delivered speeches on topics like digital economy and cloud services.
Other activities were held during the contest to facilitate matchmaking between companies.
