Industrial giants from Hangzhou, a city known as the "capital of the internet", never fail to steal the spotlight at the annual World Internet Conference (WIC) held in Wuzhen, Zhejiang province, with their insights into the development of the internet.

Zhu Shiqiang, director of the Zhejiang Lab, Guo Jijun, vice-president of Alibaba, Tu Meng, secretary-general of the Transfar Foundation, and Fan Yuan, chairman of DBAPPSecurity, all hailing from Hangzhou, delivered some stirring remarks at the event.

Zhu said that the boundary between secondary and tertiary industries will be increasingly hazy in the future. He predicted that a large platform specializing in manufacturing would be produced.

According to him, the platform, once it dominates the field, will revolutionize the future manufacturing industry.
