Hangzhou Sci-Tech City Global Startup Hub, an incubator for entrepreneurs worldwide, was launched in Hangzhou in Zhejiang province on Sept 6, a facility which organizers said will turn the eastern Chinese city into a more attractive hub for global startups.
Designed for people from overseas who want to start businesses in China, the 1,200-square-meter establishment aims to fill foreign entrepreneurs in about China's investment climate and policies. It will also provide comprehensive services and consultations on visas, business registration, laws and regulations, intellectual property and taxes.
International entrepreneurs who want to break into the China's manufacturing industry and booming market would like to bring their projects to the country. The hub is expected to help with the risks of starting their businesses and improve their success rate in China, said Xu Laiying, an official from Hangzhou Sci-Tech City.
Irina Bashuk from Ukraine, an art director of startup project ARTech, signed an agreement on setting up operations in the Hangzhou Sci-Tech City Global Startup Hub -- with the hope of finding potential business partners and getting support from the local government through the platform.
"ARTech is a cross-border collaboration platform for artists and technology geeks around the world, combining art and technology to create immersive, interactive and innovative experiences and solutions," Bashuk said.
