The China National China Intellectual Property Administration plans to build around 100 Technology and Innovation Support Centers -- or TISCs -- by 2021 to provide better services for domestic innovators and IP users, according to a meeting held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province on Sept 2.
The TISC is a program developed by World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), aiming to help IP and innovative users in developing countries to access locally based, high-quality technology information and related services.
By the end of 2018, the WIPO had established 700 TISCs in more than 70 countries and regions.
Earlier this year, the China National Intellectual Property Administration and WIPO signed a memorandum of understanding on building TISCs in China and established the first batch of TISCs.
