Thirty-six private enterprises from Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, made the list of China's top 500 private enterprises this year, more than any other city in the country for the 17th consecutive year.

The list was released at the China Top 500 Private Enterprises Summit 2019 in Xining, capital of Northwest China's Qinghai province. on Aug 22.

Companies in this year's list all registered operating revenue of at least 18.59 billion yuan ($2.6 billion), according to the ranking.  

Zhejiang Geely Holding Group took the 11th spot on the list with operating revenue of 328.52 billion yuan.

Zhejiang Hengyi Group Co Ltd and private Chinese chemical giant Zhejiang Rongsheng Holding Group ranked 28th and 33th, respectively, with operating revenue of 144.72 billion yuan and 128.6 billion yuan.

Another two lists – China's top 500 private manufacturing enterprises and top 100 private service enterprises – were also unveiled. The Hangzhou-based NetEase, one of China's leading internet services provider, ranked 37th on the former.
