Thirteen private companies from Xiaoshan district in Hangzhou made it to the list of the top 100 private enterprises in Zhejiang province in 2019, according to officials.

Chinese petrochemicals products manufacturer Zhejiang Hengyi Petrochemical Co Ltd moved up from 7th place last year to 4th this year, followed by Zhejiang Rognsheng Holding and Chinese auto parts manufacturer Wanxiang Group, who took 6th and 8th spots this year respectively.

The list is based on the annual operating income and total sales revenue of companies last year, while taking into account their net assets, tax bill and net profits.

Officials said it was also worth noting that most of the listed enterprises from Xiaoshan are mainly engaged in the chemical fiber, machinery manufacturing, auto parts and other manufacturing industries.

Over the years, an increasing number of Xiaoshan manufacturing companies have been embracing the digital transformation of traditional industry, with the focus on intelligent manufacturing and high-end equipment manufacturing.

Officials said that given the backdrop of Xiaoshan's vigorous development of its digital economy, the list reflected the overall picture of the district moving from traditional manufacturing to a more diversified and open economic model.
