Intl medical innovation center launched in Hangzhou

An international medical innovation center was unveiled in Jianggan district of Hangzhou, Zhejiang province on Aug 6, local media reported.
The center, which will serve as a professional incubation platform for the health industry, is a joint venture between the International Technology Transfer Center of Zhejiang-California International NanoSystems Institute and the International Precision Medicine Center.
The center will be dedicated to introducing quality projects focusing on medical artificial intelligence, big data, medical equipment and medical health and promoting the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements, said Chen Cheng, head of the Zhejiang-California International NanoSystems Institute.
Chen Bolin, an official from Jianggan district, said that he hopes the center can become a comprehensive service platform by introducing worldwide high-caliber talents and advanced technologies.
The center is expected to introduce 30 to 40 innovative medical projects featuring cutting-edge technologies within two to three years.
An Angel investment fund for high-level personnel in life sciences was also established at the ceremony.
