Hangzhou looks to extend friendship and co-op with Jilin

A delegation of government officials from Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province, visited Changchun in Jilin province on Aug 7, aiming to deepen cooperation between the two cities.
Bayin Chaolu, Party secretary of Jilin province, welcomed the delegation, praising the economic and social development that Hangzhou has achieved over the years.
He noted that Hangzhou is a renowned historical and cultural city in China and one of the top ten most innovative cities in the country, while Changchun boasts a strong industrial base and agricultural sector, making the two cities an ideal pair.
The Jilin official expressed hopes that the two cities can further cooperation in industrial matchmaking, platform construction and talent exchange. More efforts should be made to upgrade traditional industries and cultivate technological and innovative enterprises.
Zhou Jiangyong, Party secretary of Hangzhou, said that Changchun is an important city in Northeast China and has accumulated many valuable experiences in building a metropolitan area, which Hangzhou can draw lessons from.
He hopes that both sides can extend their partnership by taking advantage of each other's strengths in industrial development, scientific and technological innovation, public services and personnel exchange.
During the visit, the delegation also visited two renowned local museums, an ecological management project, and Alibaba Cloud Innovation Center.
