Sports fans and local residents of Hangzhou, Zhejiang province can now enjoy a variety of sports and cultural entertainment at a newly-opened sports center from Aug 3.

Alibaba Sports Center, covering an area of 44,000 square meters, is Hangzhou's first large-scale culture and sports complex which features advanced technology in the realms of digital media, artificial intelligence and big data.

Sports fans have access to all kinds of sports at the center, including basketball, tennis, swimming, badminton, table tennis, and dancing, while intangible cultural heritages and fine traditional Chinese culture are available in the cultural sectors.

To meet the needs of local residents, all sports facilities will be open to the public for free on the 8th of each month. Preferential policies for disabled and senior citizens will also be introduced.
