A university graduate of the Chinese language, Lyu Jie, a post-90s girl from Hangzhou in Zhejiang province, loves to turn plants she finds in forests and the countryside into works of art.
Obsessed with different kinds of plants in the college, Lyu began taking dead leaves from nature and making them into pieces of intricate handicrafts. Now she is working on a series of works featuring the Chinese lunar calendar.
"Plant handicrafts are something I really enjoy, which connects me with nature. It is a way to express myself and make a living," Lyu said.
