Robotics competition fires up imaginations in Hangzhou

The 2019 RCC Qianjiang International Robotics Open kicked off in Hangzhou, in Zhejiang province on Aug 1 and runs to Aug 4, local media reported.
Altogether, 73 professional robotics teams from across the world are participating in the event -- including teams from the United States, Australia, Turkey, Poland and Israel.
Participants are required to complete a set of assigned tasks after setting up and programming their robots.
The competition is the playoff of the 2019 FIRST Robotics Competition. It has the aim of inspiring young people to explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Open to high school students aged 14 to 18, the event is leading robot technology that has drawn attention from the four corners of the planet.
