The GAC Honda 2019 Hangzhou Marathon is slated to be held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province on Nov 3, organizers announced on July 24.

Official registration for this year's marathon will be available from July 31 to Aug 15 on the Hangzhou Marathon website, a WeChat account and on an Alipay applet.

Earlier this month, Hangzhou Marathon was awarded Gold Label status by the International Association of Athletics Federations, becoming the 12th member in China to join the world's most prestigious marathon league.

According to the organizers, the 2019 Hangzhou Marathon will hold the same set of events as seen in the past few years, including full and half marathons, a mini marathon, a couples run, and a kids/family run.

It is estimated that 36,000 runners will take part in this year's event. To meet the increasing demands of runners, organizers have expanded the number of participants in the full marathon to 17,000 people -- 2,000 people more than last year.

Upgraded services for catering, accommodation and transportation with advanced digital technologies will be provided to runners.
