The 2019 China (Hangzhou) Cross-border E-commerce Summit convened in Linping New City, Yuhang district of Hangzhou, Zhejiang province on July 12, with industrial leaders gathering to share their experiences and knowledge on the latest trends in cross-border e-commerce.

Yuhang district has prioritized cross-border e-commerce and strived to cultivate an industrial ecosystem since 2014. The district recorded $1.2 billion in cross-border exports last year, up 6.47 percent year on year.

During the summit, Linping New City joined hands with Chinese cross-border e-commerce association Eagle and Bear Union to build an innovative service center focusing on cross-border e-commerce.

Scheduled to open in August, the center aims to serve as a bridge between companies and global cross-border e-commerce platforms and will provide professional services in startup consultation, business guidance, and cross-border e-commerce training.

"In the past, we have focused on recruiting cross-border e-commerce businesses, but now we aim to create a cross-border e-commerce ecosystem," said Shen Qiuxia, deputy director of the Yuhang Bureau of Commerce.

Having been successfully held for four years, the summit has introduced a batch of prominent companies specializing in cross-border e-commerce to Linping New City.

A total of 943 e-commerce companies have settled in the town to date, with sales revenue reaching $454 million.
