Three years ago, Roze Merie Cuevas, a Canadian designer and founder of fashion brand JAC, never imagined that she would end up with a successful career in Hangzhou's Yuhang district.
Over the past three years, she has been working to introduce the Canadian fashion brand to China, and it has become one of the first companies to set up operations in E-Fashion Town, which was launched in 2015.
"The development speed of my career over the past three years is 10 times what it was in Canada," she said.
Impressed by the development of China, Cuevas noted that in addition to its strong manufacturing sector, the country is also home to several first-class designers and brand marketing teams.
She added that JAC will expand its presence in China's first-tier cities this year by cooperating with Chinese partners.
After four years of development, E-Fashion Town has evolved into a provincial-level characteristic town with 855 fashion businesses and 2,600 designers.
