Foreign volunteers extend helping hand to visitors in Hangzhou

The presence of an international volunteer team became a talking point at West Lake tourist area in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday from June 7-9.
Officially built up on the May Day holiday, Lingyin Green Leaf International Volunteers Team is made up of international students who study and live in the city. Together they provide service for visitors to the famous UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Based at a 24-hour volunteer station near Lingyin Temple, team members sent sachets to tourists on June 7 and 8. Electronic maps, battery charging, free tissues and emergency medicines are also available at the station.
