Hangzhou, one of the economic dynamic areas in the Yangtze River Delta region of Zhejiang province, has proved a growing magnet for domestic digital talents, according to a report unveiled by LinkedIn, a US-based networking website.

The Digital Economy and Talent Development Report for China's Yangtze River Delta Region, based on data from 495,000 users across the region, showed that Hangzhou has been attracting and retaining a growing number of digital talents, with an inflow versus outflow ratio of 1.68-to-1.

The report also identified Hangzhou's pivotal role in talent redistribution which introduces international talents and those from Hong Kong and Macao, while exporting its own talents to other parts of the country.

Information and communication technology is the most attractive sector for domestic talents in Hangzhou.

Chen Yubo, director of the Center for Internet Development and Governance at the School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University, attributed the organic ecosystem of the digital economy of the Yangtze River Delta to the network of cities in the region and an advanced transportation network, including high-speed rail.

The result, featuring characteristic human resources and the talent advantages of core cities, is expected to further promote the high-quality and coordinated development of the digital economy across the region.
